Minutes of the 8th General Body Meeting of the TRADOWA held
on
01/02/2015 at the SAMETI Premises, Hyderabad.

**

The 8th General Body Meeting of the TRADOWA was held on 01/02/2015 in the premises of the SAMETI building, Hyderabad. Shri T. Ranga Reddy, President of the Association has chaired the proceedings of the meeting.

About 110 Life Members have attended the meeting and participated in the deliberations. Chairman Shri A. Muralidhar Rao, Co-Chairman Ln Dr. Yadagiri, General Secretary
Shri D. Chandrasekhar, Vice President, Shri Katta Raja Reddy, Jt. Secretary Shri Sikinder Iqbal, Publicity Secretary
Shri N. Papi Reddy and Treasurer Shri D. Muralidhar Raju are the other Office Bearers of the Association shared the dais on this occasion.

At the outset, the Members have condoled the demise of Shri M. Ram Reddy, retired ADA, recently and observed two minutes of silence, praying for the departed soul to rest in peace. This was followed by the introduction of the new Members to the other members attended the meeting and exchanged greetings and Good Wishes.

Then, Shri T. Ranga Reddy, the President of the TRADOWA, has dealt at length the efforts made by the Office Bearers of the present Body to increase the membership toll with enrolment of new Life Members since the last General Body meeting. He also requested all the members present to contribute their might in this endeavour and make the Organization flourish physically and financially in the days ahead.

Shri D. Chandrasekhar, General Secretary, has given the detailed report of the activities taken up by the Association since the last General Body meeting and requested the Members to bestow their valuable suggestions to improve the present status and areas of concentration to make it more lively.

Shri D. Muralidhar Raju, Treasurer & Senior member has presented the accounts of the TRADOWA, before the Body and the General Body has approved the Receipts and the Expenditure and appreciated his promptness and diligence in maintaining the accounts since the inception with great applause.

 The Treasurer has informed the members that the minutes of the General Body will be uploaded to the Website of the TRADOWA for the access to the members at their convenience and obtained the approval of the General Body.

  Shri A. Muralidhar Rao, Chairman, has requested the Body to prioritise the grievances of the Members and attend them in a phased manner with more focus on health related issues of the Members. He suggested the Body to visit the ailing members frequently to boost their morale and help in expediting Medical Reimbursements by pursuing at various levels. He also suggested to organize Health camps and promote Group activities.

The Co-Chairman, Ln Dr. P. Yadagiri, has suggested to specify the duties and responsibilities of the Chairman and the Co-Chairman and sought the amendments in the byelaws of the TRADOWA accordingly. But no response was forthcoming to this proposal and the Body has taken up the next agenda of felicitations to the Members who crossed 70 & 75 years of age.

The Members have opined to conduct the General Body for every six months and the EC meeting once in a month here after. The GB has approved the proposal.

Shri M. Venkateswar Reddy, retired DDA, has apprised the Members about the establishment of NEXUS College by his son Shri M. Rithesh Reddy, for developing the skill among the unemployed youth and school-dropouts in the state in areas of Hospitality, Fashion Designing and Beautician courses. He also stated that two Colleges are setup one at Yacharam for Women and another at Shamshabad for men where admissions are open on free-of-cost to the individuals who studied 7th and above to take-up the courses and recruitments are in plenty after completion with suitable remuneration.

After the lunch break, the proposals for elections to the new Body was mooted as per agenda, as the two years term of the present Body is already over. For this the General Body unanimously resolved for continuation of the present Body for a further term of two years.

Shri P. Sri Hari, representing Punjab National Bank-MetLife Insurance spoke about the Insurance packages available with them for the retired officers and gave a video presentation urging the members to utilize this opportunity to lead a more secured life.

Shri Ramesh Guruji gave a brief lecture on practicing Yoga & Meditation for good health and sound mind to lead a happy life to overcome the tensions & stresses more prevalent
now-a-days.

Shri Sikinder Iqbal, Organizing Secretary of the TRADOWA, conveyed the vote of thanks to the representatives of the PNB MetLife for sponsoring the lunch to the Members. He also expressed thanks to Shri Ramesh Guruji for his lecture on Yoga & Meditation. He also conveyed special thanks to the Addl. DA / Director of the SAMETI, for providing accommodation, supporting staff, logistics and other services. He also extended special thanks to the TAOs Association Central Body for providing Agriculture diaries, Wall Calendars and Table Calendars to all the members and participants in the meeting. Finally he thanked all the TRADOWA members for their participation to make the function a grand success.

The 9th General Body Meeting of the TRADOWA was held on 06/09/2015 at RBVRR Hostel Auditorium, Abids, Hyderabad. About 120 Members of the organization have attended the meeting and participated in the discussions. This meeting was also shared by the TAO’s Central Unit, Hyderabad as well as members from its Districts Units. The Honourable Minister for Agriculture, Telangana State, Shri Pocharam Sreenivas Reddy graced the occasion as chief guest presided over the function. As a good gesture, Dr. G. Chinna Reddy, honourable MLA, Wanaparthi & Advisor to the TAO’s Association and Professor Dr M. Sreenivas Reddy, hon’ble MLC also participated in the meeting as special invitees.

        At the outset, Shri D. Satyanarayana, president of the TAO’s Central Unit has invited the dignitaries to the dais and requested the Chief Guest to conduct the Proceedings. Shri T. Ranga Reddy, President, TRADOWA, while welcoming the Guests, enlightened the genesis of the TRADOWA and the present strength of the Body and the activities taken up by the retired officers’ Body. The veterans form the retired officers Shri G. Baswa Reddy, Ln Dr. B. Yadagiri spoke about the present trends and challenges before Agriculture Officers and extended advisories to tackle them to make them more accountable to help the distressed farming community.

        Shri B. Krupakar Reddy, Chairman of TAOs’ Central Unit in his address, focussed on the contents of the Agriculture Development plan released by the hon’ble Agriculture Minister, Telangana State, on this occasion. He complimented the Telangana Govt for considering to implement some of the proposals made in the Vision Document for development of Agriculture in Telangana State already submitted to the Govt jointly by the TAOs’ and TRADOWA associations soon after the formation of the Telangana State. He also exuded confidence on the Govt that the other proposals will also be considered in a phased manner, prioritising them in the larger interest of farmers of the newly formed State. He also spoke about the pending issues in the Department like promotions, recruitments & postings etc. which have become major hurdles in implementing the departmental programmes in true spirit.

Dr. G. Chinna Reddy, Advisor to the TAO’s Association has emphasised the need to complete the Irrigation Projects in the Telangana State a major solution to overcome the challenges in Agriculture due to the vagaries of the Monsoon and make the State Bangaru Telangana, a long cherished dream of the hon’ble Chief Minister.

        The special guest, Professor Dr. Sreenivas Reddy, MLC, has suggested the Govt to promote subsidiary enterprises to the Agriculture, like, Dairy, Poultry, sheep rearing, Agro-based processing Industries to make agriculture more sustainable and lucrative.

The Hon’ble Minister for Agriculture, Shri Pocharam Sreenivas Reddy, spoke at length, the intent of the Telangana Govt and steps taken to explore the irrigation potentialities & complete them in a given time frame on war-footing. He also asserted that the Govt is committed for development of agriculture to realise the dream of Bangaru Telangana and resolve the issues in the Department very soon with a clarity.

 He also complimented and welcomed the participation of the retired officers of the Department in the endeavour to make the Agriculture flourish and farmers turn prosperous on par with other dependable enterprises. He also responded positively to the demands put forth by the Retied Officers Association on the representation for allotment of site / building and assignment of trainings in the department under the ATMA, NFSM, RKVY and enforcement of the Acts etc., to the organization.

 This was followed by the felicitation function to the dignitaries on the dais and the members of the TRADOWA having crossed 70/75/80 years of age by the August of 2015.

Finally, Shri B. Shyam Sundar Reddy, offered vote of thanks to the dignitaries as well as to the Office Bearers and the members of the TRADOWA & the TAO’s Association for their participation voluntarily in large numbers to make this event a grandeur. He also thanked both the electronic and print media for their participation. He offered heartfelt thanks to the PNB MetLife for sponsoring lunch to the participants and felicitating the Chief Guest / special invitees and dignitaries with mementos & shawls.
